    Focused tempo work and VO2 max gains

Winter Power #2: The 8 weeks will start off with a 20 min power test and we’ll use that data to set training targets for the rest of the series. Class will build to longer and longer intervals at threshold and move into some VO2 work in the final weeks.

Our most popular power-based program. This program includes structured workouts focusing on building your hour power. Classes begin at 60 mins and progress in duration over the course of the 8 week period.

How To Sign Up:

– Pick a day that works best for your schedule (this can be changed later on)
– Go to recurring reservation
– Choose 8 week option with end date (from 01/09 to 03/10 depending on the day)
– Click “Make recurring reservation”

Winter Power Series #2

Week 1 – 2
Training Plan Targets:
Weekly Riding Hours 6-8
Long Ride Goal: 2 – 3 hours

The first studio class after the holidays will be a tune up workout designed to help you prepare for the 20 min Power Test we’ll be doing in week 2. This test will help the coaches finalize everyone’s FTP and set the power zones they will be using for the next 8 weeks of training.

Week 3 – 6
Training Plan Targets:
Weekly Riding Hours: 8 – 10
Long Ride Goal 2.5 – 3.5 hours

In the studio these four weeks focus on intervals at or near your FTP with some short zone 5 work added.

Week 7 – 9
Training Plan Targets:
Weekly Riding Hours: 9 – 11
Long Ride Goal: 3 – 4 hours

In the studio these three weeks will see an increase of time spent in Power Zone 5 and 6, while still placing the primary emphasis on Zone 4.

Week 10
Test Week – This week we’ll be performing a 10 mile indoor race effort to test fitness.
